Additional information: The 25% concentration of DMSO has minimal odor and skin irritation.

It is recommended for people with sensitive skin, such as red hair and light complexion. The 25% can be applied to skin that has been damaged from thermal or radiation burns (including sunburns).

Some of the advantages of DMSO gel are; it is spill resistant and it can be applied with fingertips.

DMSO gel is recommended for first aid or travel kits, the elderly and the accident prone.

We use the gelling agent Carbopol 940 because it is thermally stable, makes a clear colorless uniform gel, will not grow mold, and only requires a minimal amount to achieve a consistent viscosity.

Carbopol, is used in many pharmaceuticals and OTC medicines. Sodium Carbonate is added to adjust the pH.
